Cisco Catalyst Express 500 Family
cisco catalyst 520
Cisco Catalyst Express 500 Series switches deliver best-in-class networking that is designed to meet the needs of growing businesses with up to 250 employees. These Layer 2-managed Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet switches offer wire-speed performance and security while being optimized for data, wireless, and IP Communications. The Cisco Catalyst Express 500 offers options for Power over Ethernet (PoE) to help reduce the cost and complexity of IP Communications and enable new uses for the Ethernet network and is attractively priced. Also available for these Catalyst Express 500 Series switches is the Cisco Network Assistant (CNA) a GUI, centralized management application that simplifies the administration task of Cisco switches, routers, and wireless access points. It is free of charge and provides configuration wizards that greatly simplify implementing converged networks and intelligent network services.
A Cisco GUI based configuation management tool can help some of your customers with deploying and maintaining their network. For switch software, Cisco Network Assistant can help. Cisco Network Assistant is a PC-based network management application optimized for wired and wireless LANs for growing businesses that have 40 or fewer switches and routers. Using Cisco Smartports technology, Cisco Network Assistant simplifies configuration, management, troubleshooting, and ongoing optimization of Cisco networks. The application provides a centralized network view through a user-friendly GUI. The program allows network administrators to easily apply common services, generate inventory reports, synchronize passwords, and employ features across Cisco switches, routers, and access points. As trusted advisor, point out CNA if you have reason to believe your customer will face the challenges of time consuming, and costly configurations and management or has a lack of IT expertise or staff bandwidth. Note: CNA is the only configuration and management tool for the Catalyst Express 500 switch.
